Description. Setting off on the East side of the small village of Burtonwood it goes through the village and out to the remnants of the WW2 USAF Burtonwood airbase taking in some of the iconic perimeter roads. From there it's out to 'The Dream' statue and a fast run down to Widnes and a technical navigation section before getting onto the Trans Pennine Trail. The route the snakes up the gravel side of Apppleton thorn hill to another WW2 Airfield (RNAS Stretton) before descending back down through Lymm, Colceth to the Pave of Lowton and then to haydock and the final section that tracks along side the first British canal. Closing out the loop at the Start point.
