FKT Guidelines

Fastest Known Times are becoming popular in the cycling world, but they've been around for a while in the running world. We've taken a page from their book here, as they have well established guidelines. There's not point in reinventing the FKT wheel.  Check out FastestKnownTime.com for all their content. They've been around for a while and have a great site. ONE DAY maybe we can get to that level, but for now, it's going to be janky.

So you want to submit a route. Before you do make sure it meets the guidelines below. If it doesn't, it's best suited as remaining just a Strava segment.
  • Notable enough that it could be considered "epic." That it's not your local sprint- others have and will travel to do this ride. This is a bucket list ride.
  • Can be legally ridden on a bike- road, gravel, or MTB
  • Starts and ends in easily accessible property (ie, not gated community, private land, at someones house etc)

When submitting a route please give
  • start and finish locations
  • GPX file and any associated Strava segment
  • A description of the route and why it's notable
