Congrats on riding your bike quickly! We get that you're excited you just kicked ass, but before you submit your FKT time, make sure you have the following:

To claim an FKT you must complete (and prove via GPS) a route in...wait for it... the fastest known time. This is not the same as moving time on your computer or Strava. It is the total time out there, including stops. However long it takes you, cumulatively, to get from point A to point B. Bathroom breaks and all.

- Your name and the name of the FKT route
- Whatever gender you identify with: M/F/Non-binary or if you rode in a team
- The GPS file downloaded directly from your computer or watch etc
- A link to your activity wherever it is hosted- Strava, Garmin etc
- A description or blurb about how it went, let the people know!
- Photos if you've got them, but we get it- you were going fast so that might not be possible.

- No one helped you along the way, you rode alone, you brought all your food and water. No one assisted you if you had bike issues.
- You had outside help along the way from a crew or person. Your crew/support can help with bike issues, gear, food, water.
- You rode with someone either for the entire route or part of it (the additional person acting as a pacer or mule).
