San Francisco to Los Angeles
Name: One Way Ticket, SF to LA
Start: San Francisco Ferry Building; 1 Ferry Building, San Francisco, CA 94105
Finish: Santa Monica Pier; 200 Santa Monica Pier, Santa Monica, CA 90401
GPX: GPX file
Distance: 453.92 Miles
Description: It's absolutely mind-blowing to think of this route as being just one ride, but here you go. One Way Ticket is your chance to enjoy 453.9 miles of California's best vistas, microclimates, sketch road shoulders, and gas stations all for the sake of saying you've done it! When you aren't staring cross-eyed at the wheel in front while covered in sweat, piss, drink mix, snot, and gels you'll get to see parts of the California coast that you never thought existed, seriously. We strongly recommend taking on the section through Big Sur at night, in pitch-black darkness. You will have quite possibly one of the most surreal, dreamlike experiences on the bike ever, with minimal traffic to deal with.
Seriously this ride is no joke, and if you really want to get to know your riding buddies/teammates invite them along. The simple act of riding bikes (for obscene amounts of time) creates one of the most sentimental bonding experiences like no other.
So please, try to break this FKT. We would like nothing more than to hear the stories, the highs, the lows, and the absurd things that happen along the way.
