Atlantic Ocean to Irish Sea - Galway to Dublin

Name:  Atlantic Ocean to Irish Sea - Galway to Dublin
Start: Galway, Nimmo Pier
Finish: Fairview Sea Front, Dublin

Length:  220km
GPX: File

Description: This route links the capital of the west coast of Ireland, Galway, to the Republic's capital, Dublin, on the east coast.  On the map, it is an almost straight line, cleanly cutting the island in two as the rider goes on. It totals 220 kilometers, so it is an epic day. It can be done by going to Galway by train also, which is handy.

Start on the closest beach, as it is nice to start dipping the wheel into the Ocean to the west of Ireland, and ends also on the sea front in Dublin, where we reach the Irish Sea

It also uses the Midlands Green Cycleway for a good stretch, and mostly small country roads to reach Dublin, where we end by following along the River Liffey and crossing the iconic Phoenix Park. Finish in fairview by Dublin bay.
